in person, it looks alot more colorful but i really enjoyed creating this tag and ill show you how i did it
I started with 3 distress stains ( peeled paint, broken china and spiced marmalade) and one distress ink ( picked rasberry)
I did the usual and put the colors on my craft sheet in a cool pattern and dipped my tag in the wet ink and created a very colorful background. I then took a little vintage photo distress ink and a ink blending tool and a used that around the edges to darken it a little
lastly for the background i used peacock feathers areound the edges and stamped a white floral image in the bottom right corner
I really loved this background i though it was so interesting! next i got to try out a new product; the remenent rubs. i love these soooo much! i will definatley repurchase these! they look gorgeous on the tag! i got a little carried away, but i made that mistake into somthing better than it wound have been!
next to make the focal point i used the back of a tag i didnt like and i used vintage photo around the edges stamped the 3 man stamp ( haha i dont know what its called ) and just added some embellishments to finish off the tag
Thank you guys so much for reading:)

Just getting started on this other blog not much on it but if you have time check it out!
Super rainbow colours there, yes I was quite taken by Tim's colours this month too. Great tag and congrats on the diecutting machine, I have a Cuttlebug and wouldn't be without it. BJ
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color combo for your background! Don't you just love the new remnant rubs...they are fabulous! Like you...I'm pretty much obsessed with anything Tim...and that's a good thing isn't it? *grin*
ReplyDeleteI am loving your tags! This is a great interpretation. Of course I like anything Steampunk so that's a good start - but your added layer with the corner embellishments is way cool. Aren't the rub-ons fun?? Really drawn to your colors on the swirl tag too!
ReplyDeleteIsn't 'Picked Raspberry' fabulous. I really like what you have done and think WISH finishes it off perfectly.
