Color Tag

I knew as soon as I opened the simon says stamp website and read the title, i knew i had to make a tag for it. the challenge was "color" and i can say that color is my favorite thing in crafting! so i decided to take it literally and make a rainbow background tag. here it is in full.

To get the Colorful Background, I used Dylusions spray Inks in Bubblegum pink, Lemon Zest and Vibrant Turquoise

then i used the new distress paint in picket fence to add a very subtle layering in the background. lastly for the background, i stamped little lacey cirlce's in vintage photo distress ink in 2 different sizes to make it interesting.

then, i just shuffled through my box of things and found some different embellishments that i thought looked ok haha. i used alot of 7 gypsies things and some tim holtz idea-ology things and just like that it was done!

I'd say is a little different from my normal look, but no matter how funky it looks, it still has character and looks cool!

Thank you so much! I will be entering this tag on the Simon Says Stamp blog.

  1. Kayla...your colorful vintage tag is beautiful! I really love your sprayed and blended background colors. That picket fence really was a nice way to "calm down" the vibrancy of the background. I really love your vintage photo stamped lacy circles. They are gorgeous. All of the embellishments you've added are perfectly placed; as is the sentiment. Thanks so much for sharing your art with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
